Meet the team that provides expert small business advice...
The NwSBDC is one of nine regional offices in the State of Minnesota. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a nationwide program focused on assisting individuals with their specific business challenges. We accomplish our goal through a network of qualified contracted professional business consultants who meet with clients one-on-one at NO COST. This program is a cooperative effort of the private sector, the educational community and federal, state, and local governments and is an integral component of Entrepreneurial Development’s network of training and consulting services.

Jaimee Meyer serves as the Associate Director for the NwSBDC. Jaimee received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communication from Bemidji State University in 2004. Jaimee has over 10 years experience working in the Hospitality Industry. She has held positions as a Sales Coordinator and a Sales Manager at Minnesota's premiere resort, Grand View Lodge. Jaimee was also an Account Executive for Hubbard Broadcasting and most recent experience in Sales and Service Management for US Bank.

Forest "Skip" Carpenter
Skip serves Crookston, East Grand Forks, and the southwest part of our region. His expertise includes financial planning and analysis, loan packaging, SBA loans, and general management.

Bob serves Red Lake Falls, Thief River Falls, Crookston, Warroad, and the western part of our region. His expertise includes business startup, financial planning, manufacturing, and business plans.
Dana Schnortz
Dana is an instructor of Business at Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji. He serves Bemidji and the southern part of our region. His expertise includes business startup and financial analysis.
Grant Oppegaard
Grant serves Walker, Bemidji, and the southern part of our region. His expertise includes financial analysis and turnaround assistance. He also instructs our GATE: Start-up Essentials workshop.

Jake Larson serves as a student intern for the NWSBDC. Jake is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and minoring in Economics at Bemidji State University. Jake also currently works at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Bemidji.

Deborah is a small business owner, certified life coach, and a marketing consultant for us. She serves the Bemidji area. Her expertise is in marketing. She also has produced several webinars for our center.
